A Sense of

SPACE

When O’Connor Connective launched in 2013, we sought to partner with senior leaders to advance their organization’s strategic goals. We quickly felt that clients would benefit from a place to get away from their daily demands to visualize and plan their future.

So, in 2014, we purchased 355 Main Avenue in De Pere, Wisconsin, to make that happen.

We’ll just say that the building we chose wasn’t in ideal condition. But we could see its potential.

Partnering with our friend and De Pere architect Chris Renier, we worked to bring the best out of a forgotten gem that needed work. That included removing over 11 dumpsters worth of construction debris—and a lot of donations to the ReStore/Habitat for Humanity—so to expose the original brick and 20-foot ceiling and wood beams.

By spring 2015, the 101-year old historic building renovation was complete and became both an office space for us and a creative space for our clients to more fully realize their mission and vision.

An added benefit to our renovation adventure is that we’ve reaffirmed our love for De Pere. We’ve always believed in downtown communities. But our home now, on historic downtown Main Avenue (a Memorial Day parade route even!), allows us to celebrate who we are and what we do among like-minded friends committed to enhancing their community. With our fellow local business owners, we strive to advance the growth and opportunity of the De Pere business community. Being a part of what’s happening here puts our values to work—and sometimes to test. But each day is an opportunity and adventure.

Advancing teams, advancing communities and having a great time doing it—that’s what it’s all about.

The Connective Training Center

Across the street from our historic creative space, O’Connor Connective embraced an additional opportunity to engage and serve our clients with the purchase and enhancement of an executive office building to house a training center that we call The Connective. It’s designed to provide executive spaces necessary for training, focus groups, meetings, networking events and more. The building also allows for co-working, suite-sharing for small businesses, and professional services leases.
