O’Connor Connective Sharpens Expertise in Media Relations with ‘Masters’ Program

The Masters is played in April each year at the breathtaking Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. To that end, Senior Associate Rachel Sonnentag and Communications Specialist Todd McMahon had their own Masters experience. They and 50 other communications professionals from the U.S. — including leaders from Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, healthcare systems and major universities – participated in the two-day “Secrets of Media Relations Masters” workshop hosted by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in Chicago.

Under the tutelage of Michael Smart, a communications consultant who provides media-relations coaching across the country, attendees sharpened their expertise in building relationships with the media and crafting perfect pitches to garner media coverage for clients.
