MaryBeth Matzek, an award-winning journalist and experienced communicator, has joined O’Connor Connective as Communications Manager. She comes to O’Connor Connective with more than 25 years of writing and editing experience in Northeast Wisconsin and is tuned into the area’s nonprofit and business communities.
Dee Beck also joined O’Connor Connective as a digital media specialist. Skilled in digital media technology, content creation and brand photography, her addition allows O’Connor Connective to enhance its digital services.
“We are so fortunate to welcome MaryBeth and Dee to our growing team,” said Bridget O’Connor, owner and principal of O’Connor Connective. “With their skillsets and experience, we will further serve our clients, delivering high-quality work that will help them meet their goals. For us, it starts with strategy, followed by keen integration. MaryBeth and Dee will collaborate to ensure this translates into results for our clients. ”
As communications manager, Matzek plays a vital role in O’Connor Connective’s strategic marketing and communications consultancy. She leads media relations and writing projects and ensures clients’ success through the planning and implementation of projects and facilitating communication between vendors, media and clients.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Matzek previously worked at The Post-Crescent in Appleton and more recently as the editor of Insight, a B2B business publication covering the New North.
In her role as digital media specialist, Beck uses the latest strategies in social media trends and digital marketing. As an integral part of client marketing and communication strategy, Beck seeks to improve client presence on digital platforms through the development of social media plans and management of social media on multiple social media platforms.
Before joining O’Connor, Beck led digital and web projects in the food industry and did freelance social media work for businesses.
